SJ Promotions provides Live and Online Performing Arts Competitions, Musical Theatre, Dance Workshops, professional performing arts training and class awards.

SJ Promotions believes in opportunity for all at our competitions, from complete beginners to experienced performers from ages 4-20 Years.


Everyone is welcomed with open arms, we want to celebrate all forms of Dance and Performing Arts.

Next Live Competition

Our second brand-new Set Solos Competition heads to Birmingham on Sunday, 18th May 2025 at Holyhead School, Handsworth.


This fun and supportive event is perfect for building confidence and enjoying the thrill of performing on stage - designed for novice and beginners, so anyone can get involved!


Choose from exciting categories like Superheroes, Ballet, Tap, Cheer Dance, and Musical Theatre. Take part in as many routines as you like and enjoy being part of a welcoming dance community. Everyone learns the same routine, so we're all on the same playing field.


Every participant will be judged by industry professionals and receive a digital certificate and a medal, celebrating their hard work and talent.

Our Competitions offer numerous benefits for dancers, especially those who are new to the competitive scene.

Competing at a novice level allows dancers to practice and refine their skills in a supportive environment. They can focus on fundamental techniques without the pressure of competing against highly experienced dancers.

Participating in our set solo competitions can boost a dancer’s confidence. Performing in front of an audience helps dancers become more comfortable with their abilities and stage presence.

Novice competitions provide a valuable opportunity to experience the performance aspect of dance. Dancers learn how to present themselves, manage stage fright, and engage with an audience.

SJ Promotions can provide Drama. Musical Theatre and Singing Workshops / After School clubs for your Dance/Performing Arts School, Primary and Secondary School from 4 years +

SJ Promotions Guest workshops offer a wide range of benefits for both the participants and the for the Performing Arts School.

Drama Workshops

Within these workshops students will learn projection, diction, mime, characterization skills, building confidence and social interaction. Script group work.

  • Option 1 - 1 Hour.
  • Option 2 - Up to three hours .
  • Option 3 - Up to six hours.

 

 

Musical Theatre Workshops

Within these workshops students will learn vocal and breath control techniques, acting through song, characterization, interpretation, dance, movement and performance skills, building confidence and social interaction to popular musicals.

All workshop timings are;


  • Option 1 - 1 Hour
  • Option 2 - Up to three hours
  • Option 3 - Up to six hours

 

Singing Workshops

Within these workshops students will learn vocal and breath control techniques, learn popular pop and musical theatre songs.

  • Option 3 - Up to six hours

Class Awards

Introducing the WICKED CLASS AWARD from SJ Promotions, perfect for teachers with students who are beginners and/or don't want to enter competitions, but want to work towards a Class Award!

There's no better way to encourage a child's commitment to their Performing Arts journey and your school than working towards a goal.

 

Adjudication

SJ Promotions can provide Adjudication at your Dance. Drama, Musical Theatre event, festival or dance competition either in person or online, with over 20 years experience and wealth of knowledge in the industry as a performer, teacher, business owner, examiner and promoter SJ Promotions understands both the technical side and performance elements.
